Handling Stress
Stress is "The adverse reaction people have to excessive
pressures or other types of demand placed on them."
Stress is not an illness – it is a state. However, if stress
becomes too excessive and prolonged, mental and physical illness
may develop.
This section is all about making you more aware of the signs,
symptoms and possible methods of handling stress. If you are
becoming isolated, anxious, feeling that you can no longer cope
with normal life, it may be time to seek advice from your GP or, if
in employment, your human resources manager.
